Your Four Seasons Northwoods Getaway

Enjoy privacy and serenity on this beautiful 16 acre estate on the north shore of Thousand Island Lake, one of 14 lakes making up Michigan's Cisco Chain of Lakes. The Fisher House is the original caretaker's residence of the Fisher Estate (Body by Fisher of General Motors fame). Although the main home was destroyed by fire many years ago, the caretaker's home and many outbuildings remain. Important guests, including President Eisenhower, were once entertained here.

This spacious four bedroom rental home contains over 3000 square feet of living space with central heat, including two full baths, living room, dining room, and fully equipped kitchen. Eight people can be accomodated very comfortably.

Thousand Island Lake is a 1000 acre, crystal clear, sand bottom, spring-fed lake. The property has 850 feet of shoreline and one of the most spectacular views of the lake and its islands. Deer, fox, ducks, and bald eagles wander the surrounding woods and meadow, along with other woodland creatures. Wild flowers and wild berries abound. This is truly a vacation paradise, perfect for swimming, boating, fishing, hunting, hiking, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, or for just relaxing in quiet and solitude.

The property rental includes use of a 14 foot aluminum boat, wet boathouse, large Finnish sauna, half basketball court, picnic table, outdoor furniture, and Weber grill. Bed linens are provided. Freshly painted inside and out, the house features new first floor carpeting, a gas log fireplace, color television, and microwave.
